Fisher’s practice is defined by a rigorous, boundary-blurring approach to visual storytelling and design. As a force of transformation, she moves like a thread through disciplines. Trained in haute couture, and sharpened on the sets of psychological thrillers – crafting each project with fierce precision.
Whether behind the camera, in front of it, or at the workbench, she dissolves the borders between art forms to forge something entirely her own. Fisher directs with the same intensity that once defined her performances, crafting emotionally charged films that reflect a life devoted to both precision and poetry.

Which place do you currently call home and where do you work on your projects?
Paris.
Where is your studio located & how does it look?
The 14th arrondissement. It is an artists’ neighborhood where numerous sculptors, architects and painters have set up shops at the beginning of the 1900s. My studio is located in the Monsouris neighborhood in a Hôtel Particulier (Hôtel Liégeois (1913)—36 rue René Coty, Paris XIVe, Architectes L.Liégeois et C.Chiésa, sculpture de Jean Boucher. The Montsouris district is full of treasures and picturesque little flower-lined streets that are well worth a visit. The Place de Montsouris, home to a number of artists, is one of the most beautiful places to visit on a stroll. The Allée Samuel Beckett, Avenue René Coty, 75014 begins at the square Denfert Rochereau and ends at the Parc Monsouris. The entrance and exit of the Catatombs of Paris is also located there.

Are there any projects that are personally important to you – whether recently completed or currently in progress?
I am currently working on the development of a new feature film; and on the other hand I have a private collection “Art Sartorial Sculptural”, on which I have been working on creations for over 20 years. I would now like to publish these in museums (where I am already in contact with one), and also in galleries. The film l’architecte textile is part of the concept, which is about presenting this artisanal work, as it requires a high level of savoir-faire and is also technical and innovative. These artisanal skills (Art Sartorial) are disappearing as the old masters have left the earth and today’s fast-paced world no longer allows time to grasp these deep learning processes. So I am trying to leave a message to remind people of true skills, as there are many fake providers, promoted by internet advertising, who teach and show traditional craft techniques incorrectly; amateurs who do not know the soul of the matter, but are subject to commercial interest.

Are there any urgent political issues or problems in your region?
The education is insufficient and professionals with real know-how are becoming increasingly rare. There’s also a lack of culture.
In your opinion, what has developed well in the last 5 years – and what has not?
Paris promotes the environment but has converted the streets into enormous cycle paths with the aim of driving cars out of the city. Skyrocketing rental prices for apartments are causing some people to move to the suburbs.
Do you know a hidden gem when it comes to local manufacturers – whether it’s arts and crafts, sustainable products or food?
Sacrés Vins Dieux – a wine and food merchant.
Is there anything particulary innovative in your region? Also in comparison to other places you have already visited?
The Seine has been cleaned up around Paris, giving the chance to cool off in summer with a refreshing dip in the ever-so-hot city.

Imagine you could be mayor for a year – what would you change?
I would ban mobile phones on public transport, as well as in other places such as restaurants …
One last question: If you could choose another place to live – regardless of financial or time constraints – which one would you choose?
I’ve lived in Paris for a long time and it’s a beautiful city. Fortunately, I was able to get to know many interesting cities and countries. If fate wants me to move on, it will lead me to the right place.
